Happy Third!

I almost forgot, but today is my blog's 3rd birthday. And once again, I leave my lovely blog readers a birthday present.
Go ahead, tell me I was an adorable Kindergartner. And tell me what makes you more jealous: the perm, the homemade shirt (that had matching shorts from the same material), or the matching hair bow?

My blog has now lasted as long as that perm did, but still not quite as long as the crippling insecurities that stemmed from this haircut did.

Actually, truth be told, I had no idea that it was hideous. Oh the joys of being five.

Happy Blogthday!

Bored.

I'm bored with my blog. As I'm sure you are.
Sometimes I think of clever or funny posts, but then get too lazy to put effort into them, and instead read a book for hours on end, while Philip multitasks and talks on the phone, plays a videogame, flips to the Suns game, and watches a tv show on the laptop, all at the same time.
His amazing multi-tasking mother, Janet, would be proud.
Speaking of Lindbloms, I'm thinking that since my life is kind of SUPER boring and non-evenful right now, I'll amp up the blog with a Lindblom Family Week. And with that being said, perhaps I'll get it done by 2011. Don't hold your breath though. If you'd like something to read in the meantime, here was the Jones Family Week. Enjoy.

Strawberries and being domestic.

Strawberries were 3 lbs for a dollar last week at Superstition Ranch Market. In case you don't know, that is a freaking smoking deal.
I might have bought 48 lbs.
They were just SO cheap, and I just ran out of my strawberry jam I made last fall, so I decided to make twelve tons of jam. It all set up and all the jars sealed. I am thrilled.
Okay, so remember how I'm kind of weirdly prideful about kinda dumb things like having a good sense of direction and not being afraid of shots and needles? Add canning to that list. As I was buying my flats of strawberries on Saturday, an old guy asked what I was doing with all of them and then was impressed when I told him I was making jam. In case you were wondering, I also made ridiculous amounts of apple pie filling in November as well. Yes yes, just call me Martha. I even got a battle wound (see that awful blister?) from stirring all of my stupid apples so vigorously so they wouldn't burn. Sara did some too. And just in case you were wondering, she did indeed request that I use this picture because she looks so amazing in it. And this might be one of my favorite pictures of 2009, please enlarge it and check out Oakley's face; he looks like a fat midget. I also look amazing. Be jealous of our attractiveness.
And then one day when I was watching the twins, they found my stash of bottles and thought the rings on them were the funnest toys ever.
Nater-tater:
Reesey-piecey:
So yes, just know that if a famine starts tomorrow, I will be chubbily living on strawberry jam and apple pie filling, and I might be willing trade it for some of your goods.
And lastly, I love all three of these kids. And I love that Nate takes over the cart and smashes Reese into the corner. He's kind of a boss, and I kind of love it.
The end. Kind of boring update, but meh, such is my life right now.
