Free & cheap crap.

Alright, first up on the free crap list:
Starbucks gift card!
I got a Starbucks gift card from one of my teachers yesterday for helping in one of her classes. And I don't drink coffee so I don't want it. I know, I know, there is something there that isn't coffee that is delicious that I should try, but I'm fine without it. So, do you want it? It is only for $5, but hey, a free $5, is a free $5, so if you want it leave a comment (you might want to butter me up in case more than one person wants it) and I'll send it to you.
Deal?
Next up on the free crap list, though it is not free for you, FREE admission to Disneyland on your birthday! Guess who has a birthday on Monday...PHILIP! So guess where we will be?
Giving this boy the happiest birthday on earth at the happiest place on earth, of course! We just decided last Sunday to go, and let me tell you, being spontaneous rocks. I'm kind of a planner/control freak, so this is way exciting for me. Sighhh, I love Disneyland. What else could make us this happy? Oh, and as far as cheap crap goes, I got us a room at the Hilton by Disneyland for just $45 a night! I know, right? I thought it was pretty amazing too! I'm pretty much the next Priceline Negotiator, and I'm proud of it! Anyhoo, have such a good weekend guys! Sorry to say but mine will be funner!

Capitol Day & School Friends

Yesterday for school we had to go to the state capitol for hygiene day or something. It was a colossal waste of time. The hardcore hygienists in Arizona often talk to hygiene students and try to get us all riled up and make us want to fight for our rights and crap. Honestly, the only right that I'm gonna fight for is the right to PARTAAAY! Don't worry, I used that joke yesterday too, and it went over equally as well. So anyways, we took pictures. And let me introduce you to my cute school friends.
Meet me, Sydney, Diane and Crystal. They are kind of the greatest.
Me and Diane, who I carpool with and is basically my BFF in hygiene school, decided to try and take a nice picture together... ...since typically the only pictures we take together are when we are making fun of someone's car...
(apparently LOVE IS a purple mercury wagon)
...or someone's luggage...
...or saying cheers with our breakfast Diet Pepsi. Basically we spend ridiculous amounts of time together and therefore have become really good friends.
And meet the rest of the Group B girls! I seriously couldn't have asked for sweeter girls and have LOVED becoming such good friends with all of them! They have seriously become like family over the past year and I positively adore each and every one of them!
Back row: Sydney, Esperanza, Kristi, Alex, Valerie, Angel, Lorrie, Tonya, Gina
Front row: Crystal, Diane, Thuy, me
And apparently these girls think they are really funny, because I found this on my camera this weekend. Oh, and meet Ashley, she's on the right, she's one of our good friends too, but for some reason is never around when we're taking pictures.
So yes, that is my school family and I love them dearly. I don't know what I'm going to do once we graduate and I don't see them every day! Lunches will definitely be in order.
Okay, so this has nothing to do with school, but this morning as I was taking the second to last banana off the bunch, I was sad because I hate when there is only one banana left and we can't use our banana hammock (I know it's a hanger, but hammock is more awkward thus more fun), but a miracle happened! I managed to balance the one remaining banana's stem on the hanger! I was so pleased with myself that, well first of all, I'm posting it on the blog and expecting you to be impressed, but I also called Philip in from the other room and made sure that he was amazed at this wonder. That's all. Be impressed.
Oh, and back to the subject of school, I realized that I take my written and anesthesia boards in a month! AHHH! And in three months, I will be straight up graduated! I know, kind of crazy that it only took me 6 years to graduate from college, don't be too jealous...I am quite the overachiever.
Alright, wish me luck studying over the next month, I am soooo not good at studying. I kind of lack motivation and once I get started, I get bored and want to quit. Any hints?

Boys

Last night Philip and I played with a couple of Sara's boys for a while. They surely are attractive. I hope I like my kids as much as I like hers.
Apparently Oakley still needs to prove that he is the baby. This was before he rolled his eyes at me (what 2 1/2 year old rolls their eyes at people?) and also before he started sucking on one of Nate's pacifiers. He's kind of nerdy, and I like it.
(Melissa, I totally broke in. Here's for the world to see what it looks like. And, yes, that is him, a different day, in the bouncer, rolling his eyes. Punk. Love, Sara)
I also got to love on Nate for the first time! He is such a little sweetie! He was a large fan of getting his head/fuzz combed, and I was more than happy to oblige.
Um, nothing new here, Oakley jumping off the ottoman over the pillows, and looking like a champ while doing so.
Oh, and this picture is like a month or so old, but I thought it was too cute to pass up, especially since it was totally candid. I imagine Sara had a small heart to heart with Reese last night at the hospital too, and that it was equally as precious.
So that's all. Sorry nothing crazy exciting for you all...such is life I suppose.
Have a fun week! And I'm not going to say that I totally called it, but HELLO! I totally knew that it would come down to Melissa and Molly on the Bachelor! Shoot, I totally called it.

A Bellyache

Valentine's candy is one of my favorite things ever. And Brach's Cinnamon Jelly Hearts speak directly to my soul. I have been looking for them everywhere, and then lo and behold Target held the key to my heart today.
I was ecstatic when I found them! Artificially flavored happiness all afternoon is all I could think of. I ate them like they were going out of style. And then about half way through my first bag, I realized that my belly wasn't feeling so good. Not good at all, in fact. Then I realized that maybe this was the only thing I had to eat today, and then my belly got angry at me and told me to stop eating them. It turned out to be not as happy of a reunion as I had hoped with my cinnamon jelly hearts. And now I'm trying to figure out what I could or should eat that would make me feel better, because Diet Pepsi didn't.
Oh, and by the way, the face pictured above is one that would cause Philip to say, "What could I say to make you never do that face again?"
I bet he's going to be really happy that I posted that picture, and his token statement for when I do really ugly faces, on the blog.
Have a fun week friends and if you want some cinnamon jelly hearts, I have an extra bag and a half that I might not be eating.
Oh, and is anyone else watching the Bachelor tonight? I'm hoping/betting that he kicks Naomi off tonight. And it's about time! She has like the weirdest mouth, like it kind of looks like she had an underbite that was corrected, but she still has the tendency to talk like before the correction. And/or maybe her tongue is too big for her mouth. And for the love would she please get her hair out of her face?!! Let's hope I'm right.

Dinner.

Tonight I tried a new recipe. I RARELY do this, because first, if it involves more than like four ingredients, we don't have them, second, I get my hopes up and my heart set on something new, and third, I'm lazy. But tonight I decided to try it.
I made this:
"Tuscan Chicken Simmer" as Kraft Foods calls it, and doesn't it just look tasty?
Unfortunately, mine looked and tasted like this:
Poo. Me and Philip's favorite thing about it? That we never have to eat it again. But of course I ate it because I was mad that I wasted time and effort and cream cheese on it, and Philip ate it because he's a sweetheart. This is reason number eight hundred and ninety why I hate cooking.
Baking, on the other hand, I'm fairly okay at. So we chased down our poo dinner with the delicious brownies that I made yesterday.
(Not poo even though it is the same color.)
(And that is caramel-y goodness in the middle. Jealous?)
From now on when I think of trying a new recipe, I think I'll make brownies instead.
Dinner is just not my thing.
Anyway, have a good week guys and happy February!
