Happy Wednesday!

Today is an incredibly good day for about six reasons. Here I go naming them:
#1.
It was fairly cool this morning which was fantastic. It makes me excited to have a real house someday without scary neighbors so that I can open my doors in the morning when it is nice and cool. How fun will that be?
#2.
On the way to work this morning I was listening to Jimmy Eat World on random, and out of nowhere, or I suppose out of the speakers, it starts playing their Christmas song! I got SOOO excited, because I cannot wait for Christmas! So I sang along to the whole thing, and then repeated it again.
#3.
This came yesterday.
This is quite possibly my favorite Pottery Barn time of year. I love all things in like October, because they are showcasing Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas things all at once. They had 6 whole pages of Christmas in here. I love it.
#4.
Today is two months until my birthday! I might have shouted that at work when I realized it this morning. That is another reason I love fall, my birthday falls right in the middle of it. I can't wait for my birthday because we always have Birthday Breakfasts, and I usually request pumpkin roll for my breakfast. Oh hooray, I'm excited!
#5.
Sara made a Costco run for the office yesterday, so we have an astonishing amount of Diet Pepsi at our fingertips, as well as an amazing lemon cake, and a huge box of Cheez-Its. Healthy Shmealthy, it's for suckers if you ask me.
#6.
I LAUGH OUT LOUD every time I see this:

I'm really pretty. Thanks Sara for posting this on your blog so that we could all enjoy it a little more. Also, Jason said that I look like my mom in it, which made me excited.

Oh, and just in case anyone was wondering (Jake, Sara and Kev), family week will indeed continue, however my internet at home is being an a-hole, so it may be a day or two before that starts up again.
Also, Katie you need to start a blog. Right now!

Family Week Intermission...

I was really busy tonight.
And I'm super tired.
And I'm ridiculously cranky.
.
And Jake deserves better than that.
.
Family week will turn into Family Two Weeks, especially since I have a large family.
Until then, look forward to meeting Jake, Sara, and Kev, it will be delightful to say the least.
.
See ya next week guys.

Best Week Ever!

So starting the week with a day off made this such a fun week! First off, at work yesterday we celebrated Dr. Heap's birthday, and since we're nerdy/the best staff ever, Brookie brought cupcakes, I brought candles, we sang happy birthday, which I'm not going to lie, was a little awkward with just the 5 of us, and then he opened up presents! And that was all after we went to lunch at Nando's, where I ate a heaven-sent chimichanga that was the size of a small pug. Mmm, it was soooo good.
And we maybe got him Guitar Hero because he is a tad nerdy, and is maybe feeling insecure about turning the big 3-0, and needed something childish. Good thing I took back the nose/ear hair trimmer that I originally got for him! :) We also worked a half day, which I am a HUGE fan of, but after Dr. Heap left, the four of us girls (me, Sara, Brookie, and Bethany) sat around and took DISTURBINGLY ugly pictures of ourselves with his camera. They are the types of faces that when I make them to Philip he says, "Yeah, what can I say to make you never do that face again?" Dr. Heap is in for a treat when he gets to work on Monday.

.

Then the other night our cute friends, Michael and Deanna, invited us to go with them to a Diamondbacks game!

It was truly amazing! I had forgotten how much I enjoy going to baseball games, and I think that Philip was pleasantly surprised by how entertained and in to the game I was. And I think this man in front of me was sad about it because I might have been yelling in his ear like 90% of the time. However, his enormous head (and mustache) were blocking my view of home plate like 90% of the time, so I don't feel quite so bad.

And here is us being our very cheesy selves. I think that Philip looks adorable in this picture, so I posted it inspite of my better judgement, since I look like I just crawled out of a trash can.

I need to bleach my teeth again.

Oh, and I recently decided that I'm going to have next week be family week, and tell the world a little bit about every member of my family. Look forward to it. It will be a fantastic event!

Happy Memorial/Labor Day...

...sometimes I have a hard time remembering which one is which.
Anyhoo, happy no work or school day! I maybe am in love with days off and then the remaining week, because it is short and goes by super fast, and yeah, it just makes for a good time.
So, I don't have much to say or report, and I certainly didn't do anything exciting today, but I did want to report some exciting news.
Guess who has running water in their bathroom?
WE DO!
It is official. We have a bathroom sink that works, which means that we got to throw away this hideous thing... Yes, that's a medicine cabinet on our kitchen counter, and it has been there for over two months. So that means that we can now brush our teeth and Philip can shave in a bathroom mirror!
However, there was a downside to throwing away this hideous thing. Despite it's horrible appearance, that mirror was my Skinny Mirror. Something about it was slightly skewed, so I always appeared a bit slimmer in that mirror than any other, which often helped me feel better about myself on days that my self esteem was sub-par.
Despite the sad departure, I am glad to have tons of counter space back, as well as the use of the cabinets behind where it stood. And I no longer get grossed out spitting toothpaste into a kitchen sink!
Also, our house is getting very close to being done-ish. And then my friends, you will get to see the big reveal... I think I'll have Ty Pennington host the event. Awesome huh?
