Too School for Cool.

So my life has been anti-exciting lately. Basically school is running my life and consuming all of my time and thoughts. It sucks. Seriously seriously sucks.

Look, I have proof. Welcome to my world of Pharmacology kicking my trash. This class makes me appreciate how smart Philip is. Seriously, my babe is freaking smart.

Soooo, since the above picture is the only one that I have taken lately, here are some from the archives that I thought I would attempt to entertain with.

First up, Caleb's ribs trying to jump out of his skin. Can you even imagine being sooo skinny? I seriously love that kid.

L for Lovers, or Loggers, or Lindblom, or Lucky me, or large legs, or love handles... hmm, let's stick with the first few. Oh how I wish I were back at that magical magical place. And last but not least, Oakley eating a peep with a spoon and trying to shove the entire thing in his mouth. I found this to be quite entertaining at the time. Um, if any of you want to take my stupid anatomy test for me on Wednesday, would you please let me know? Maybe once that's done, I will be back to my non-stressed self again, but I can't make any guarantees. Has June seriously been the longest month of anyone else's life besides mine? Like my cousin Emily said, if you want to make the summer last a really long time, take summer school.

School is for suckers. And I'm a sucker, waah.

I like Father's Day.

So I've decided that Father's Day is lots of fun. Like it is kind of the more casual of the two parental holidays, you know? Do you know what else I like?

Mi padre.

My dad is pretty much the best dad ever. He is loads of fun and always has a witty comment to make you laugh harder than you expected. He also always has the best and very sensible advice, will listen to me rant about anything, is a fantastic example of a worthy priesthood holder, and has given me and my siblings everything we ever needed. He's also kind of a nerd, and I love it.

And I am pretty much his clone, in girl form. And I'm pretty sure I'm his favorite, which is why I was named after him. We are like Mel squared.

Another fantastic dad is my father-in-law. He is a very quiet and reserved man, but has a fairly ornery side which is always hilarious.

Here are the Phils squared. Crazy that me and Philip were both named after our dads, huh?

Philip decided to participate with our Sunbeams today and he made his dad a card and drew him a picture. He also answered the questions about his dad on the inside, and for the question, "I love my dad because:" he answered with, "he always lets me know when he is proud of me." I may or may not have teared up when I read that.

Phil is seriously such a sweet sweet dad, and I love being his favorite daughter-in-law. Something fun about Phil is that he LOVES the Roadrunner and Coyote cartoons and laughs out loud whenever he watches them. Isn't that awesome?

I am so so lucky to have such good dads in my life!

What is up...

I started school again, and get this:

I clean teeth now.

My first patient was the sweetest girl ever, even if she kind of does look dead behind the eyes in this picture. (I had just sat her up after being laid back in the chair for like three hours, hence the dead eyes.)

No but seriously, Sara is so so nice for being my patient, especially since she's a real life pro and could clean her own teeth if she wanted! She's pretty much my favorite patient.

Anyways, now that I have an actually cleaning schedule, if ANYONE wants/needs their teeth cleaned, please let me know!

Here are the details:

* It is $25 for everything, including as many appointments as it takes, a full mouth set of x-rays, a ridiculously comprehensive and thorough cleaning, and exams by the on staff dentist.

.

*You need to have at least like eight spare hours on your hands (two four hour appointments...bring your ipod), since first of all, I'm new at this, and secondly, everything has to be checked and rechecked to make sure that I did it perfectly.

.

*My school is in Downtown Phoenix. It only takes like 25-ish minutes to get there, but gas prices, bla bla bla, so yeah, Phoenix.

.

*I see patients on Tuesday afternoons at 1:00, and Thursday mornings at 7:30, and the appointments last a little less than four hours.

Please please please let me know if you want to come in! I don't care how long it has been since you had your last cleaning, the longer the better!

In other news, me and the sisters went swimming with the kiddos on Friday which was delightful. Philip didn't have school so he came and was the funnest uncle because he romped around in the water with them.

How cute are all those kids? I kind of love them.

And lastly, Kelli was in town so some of the girlfriends went to dinner, where we all got salads and I was kind of embarrassed because I felt like we were those salad eating girls. You know?

It was a seriously fun time. For the sake of remembering in eighty years, left to right is:

Alisse, me, our Mexican looking friend- Kelli (how did I not notice how tan you are until just now?), Kim, and Stacie, who brought a random baby with her. I swear, she'll do anything for attention. :) I like my friends. Hey friends, we should hang out more, okay?

Anyhoo, that's it for me. I should go to sleep, but since I accidentally took a four hour nap today, I'm not so tired. Whoops.
