Me being Myself...
* "I should quit school and have a baby."
* "I'm not in the mood for a bean and cheese burrito."
* "Being poor isn't that bad, it's almost like a fun challenge." (People who say that are on crack.)
* "Let's move to Queen Creek."
* "Birthdays aren't exciting when you get older."
* "I'm off pop."
6 things I probably say too much...
* "Are you freaking kidding me?"
* "I hate school."
* "Thanks Love."
* "___________ can eat my poo."
* "I like my husband."
* "I need some ibuprophen and a Diet Pepsi."

Exciting news and the weekend...
We went down to the hospital about an hour after she had the baby, and it was a serious party with all the sisters there. Unfortunately we didn't get to see the baby though because since he was early and tiny, he had to go up to the nursery. Julia has a few pictures posted on her blog here.
So then on Saturday night, Kev & Nicole called and wanted to hang out, and it was decided that we would go to Fiddlesticks, which none of us had been to since our first dates (Kev took Nicole there on their first date too). We first hit up the driving range, which the boys took VERY seriously. And of course, I took pictures all along the way.
Philip being a natural at every sport ever...
Me being bad at every sport ever, and breaking Philip's heart because he's so scared that our kids will get my athletic abilities. Notice that the ball is still in place after my power swing...

Sweater Weather
In other news, I just polished off my second bowl of Marshmallow Mateys this morning. Guess what I like...cereal. Marshmallow Mateys/Lucky Charms in particular.
And lastly, yesterday was my parents anniversary! 35 years...holy crap!
Aren't they stunning? Let's all take a moment and thank them for creating six awesome kids. I mean, we are pretty great right? No but really, congrats to them. It does however, make me wonder what me and Philip will look like in 32 more years.
Probably something like this:
Except for the fact that I look like my dad and Philip looks like his mom, but I'm not THAT good at using Microsoft Paint. This picture makes me laugh though, because often times at wedding receptions I pair up the bride's mom and the groom's dad in my head (to give me an idea of what the couple will look like years to come, not for anything else pervs) ...and it produces pictures like this. I seriously laugh every time. I'm really normal.
Anyways, have a good week friends! Enjoy fall!

Mel's Birthday Wish List 2008
Yes I'm a man and like tools, but I'm not going to lie, on more than one occasion I have thought, "Ugh, if only I had a dremel on hand..." 2. Silver chargers
They would compliment my china so nicely, and then maybe I could think of an occasion to use my china...and chargers. I will need eight. Thanks.3. A pullover hoodie.
Perhaps a Gold Medal Gardening one would be nice...hint hint Jones cousins. Just kidding, kind of. But remember that I still wear my old one that I stole from Rachel in high school, and how at the Jones Cousin Christmas Party last year I was SERIOUSLY sad when I didn't come home with the new one?
4. Black heels to wear with dresses and jeans
These will do nicely. And with a 5 inch heel these will make me a towering 6'2". Awesome right?5. Cannery salsa
Seriously the best salsa for burritos around. The only thing though is that you can't just buy it, you have to work at the cannery for a day, and then buy it. Lame.
6. These shoes.
I'm actually a little undecided on these still. I'm not sure that I like all the holes up front you know? I think they are darling otherwise though.7. Date thing.
